I was working on some serious door building when my ancient (circa 1982) corded jigsaw gave up the ghost and died mid-project. Having just purchased a complete set of cordless Hitachi tools, I thought this jigsaw would be a nice addition.PROS--well balanced, nice sole plate, comfortable grip.CONS--annoying little plastic shield (what it's for I have no idea, but removing it solved the issue of sawdust quickly clouding it). My other con is this beast absolutely sucks down the energy from the battery pack. Solved the problem by using the larger battery.
