Got this chainsaw mainly to recover some burning wood after knocking down some big oak tree limbs. I opted for 50:1 mix using synthetic 2-cycle oil, and some old transmission oil I had for the chain-lube. After priming it 5-7 times per instructions and applying the choke, I cranked it three times, before it almost started. Pushed the choke back in and another crank, and Voila!I let the saw idle for a minute or two, then started cutting away. It generates more than adequate power to dice 12-15" limbs with minimal effort.
